Makeup and Costume For scenes

Costume

• I (model) started out in black leggings and a white bando so there wasn't lots of material to cover with bandages.
• Firstly I was wrapped in plain white toilet paper to get the basic white layer covering all my skin. We had to improvise with the toilet paper as it was going to be too expensive to cover my whole body in 2 layers of bandages, on our budget. 
• My hair was tied back in a tight plait to prevent it getting in the way. We then put up in a swimming hat so that my head was easy to cover in bandages and my hair was completely out the way.
• Next we used damp white tape to hold the toilet paper in place, as it was easily breakable (we decided against using sellotape, as the shine would reflect on the camera).
• We then went over the toilet paper with white bandages, adding them to my face to cover everything apart from my eyes. This also made the toilet paper tighter creating the look I was thinner.
• Lastly blood was added around my mouth to help portray the idea that my teeth had been taken out- linking back to our narrative.

Makeup- Creating Bruising to the Eyes!!

• Firstly a base of pale foundation was added to my face to help create a starved and ill effect.
• Next dark concealer was worked into creases in my face to help portray me as ill and starved.
• To add bruising around my face and eyes  shades of blue, purple, browns, reds and orange eyeshadows were used. 
• An Eyebrow pencil was used to create more bushy eyebrows to make them look un-kept and overgrown. 
• Lastly an over layer of a clear powder was added around my eyes to get rid of any shine that might appear on the camera from the eyeshadow.

Makeup- creating bruising to the face and neck!!

• These girls are acting the victims, so I needed to create the feeling they have been in captivity for a while, I wanted to present the girls as abused and exhausted.
• To make the girls look ill and create a feel they have been starved, I started off using a base of extremely pale foundation on their faces to create this effect.
• After this to extend the exhausted and tired look I wanted to create, I worked a dark concealer into creases in the face. This helped to create bags and tired looking skin.
• Then I wanted to create bruising around the face and eyes using shades of blue, purple, browns, reds and oranges of eyeshadow.
• I then Added mascara onto the eyelashes, clogging the lashes together to create the feel her eye have been punched/crying/ add to the bruising feel.
• Left there eyebrows bare!!!
• Lastly we added an over layer of a clear powder to get rid of any shine that might appear and reflect on the camera from the eyeshadow, to make the makeup look more realistic on film.

Costume- none!

• Made sure there bra straps & top straps weren't showing so that creating the feel they are naked!
