- Gives the audience idea of genre.
- Fonts and writing style can reflect genre/feel of the film.
- Introduces us to; actors, directors, producers, writers etc.

Enigma:
- Grasping the audiences attention.
- Encorage engagement with the film
- Attract different audiences
